THREE new ITV and BBC commissions- momentous events

Soundology have been commissioned to score three projects marking three major historical moments in history.

DIANA: THE DAY BRITAIN DIED for ITV, made by the same team who made the award winning film The Day Kennedy Died, is a 1x60min film that focuses on the day of Princess Diana’s funeral. Unseen archive footage and exclusive interviews with key decision makers involved with the funeral sheds a new light on the story, exploring the day from beginning to end.

PARTITION – A 2x60min series for BBC1 in which four British eye-witnesses, a Hindu , a Sikh, a Muslim and a British Colonial, recall their experience of the Partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, and the communal violence and chaos that forced 14 million people to flee their homes. Each of them also send one of their descendants back to India, Pakistan or Bangladesh to return to the ancestral homes which 70 years ago this year they were forced to leave behind.

TREVOR Mc DONALD and SOUTH AFRICA – a 60min film for ITV1 presented by veteran news reporter Trevor McDonald retracing his steps to Sth Africa in the 100th year of Nelson Mandela’s birth.
