THREE NEW BBC TRAVELOGUE SERIES WITH A TWIST

Soundology are scoring three major series for the BBC with new and established presenters:

THE GANGES WITH SUE PERKINS – 3x60min for BBC1. Expanding on her previous series travelling to Kolkata and the Mekong, Sue Perkins of Great British Bakeoff explores the lives of the people living close to the river.

FROM HERE TO TIMBUKTU – a 2x60min for BBC2. Writer and explorer Alice Morrison attempts to follow the ancient ‘Salt Roads’, historically one of the world’s richest trading networks, which lead from south of Tangier to the fabled sandstone city of Timbuktu. Travelling by foot, camel, donkey and sometimes hitching a lift, Alice travels through some of the most mysterious, beautiful and ancient cities in the world, embarking on a journey that will take her deep into the history, culture and civilisation of both ancient and modern North Africa.

KATE HUMBLE: THIS WOMAN’S WORLD – 3x60min BBC Kate Humble travels to Kenya, India and Israel looking at the role of women in other cultures.
