THE MUSIC BRIEF: was to write a very contemporary sound-design influenced score. No strings (or rather minimal use of strings) were allowed steering away from the ‘blue-chip’ sound that the BBC NHU are traditionally known for.

Episode 1:Lions
Lions as you’ve never seen them before. It’s war on the African savannah, but on a virtual battlefield. Conflict, ambush and hostile takeovers are revealed when miniature onboard animal cameras, satellite imagery, and computer technology combine with dramatic wildlife pictures to tell the moving story of a pride of lions whose world is about to be shattered

Episode 2: Sharks
What’s it like to be a tiger shark, to have extraordinary senses and detect things humans cannot see or feel? The latest in image technology enables us to enter a very different world to our own, revealing in incredible clarity search patterns and attack strategies that show sharks as we’ve never seen them before.

Episode 3: Wolf
The wolf is one of nature’s top predators, but it needs to be one of a team to survive the bitter Rocky Mountain winters. How a pack battles with and out-manoeuvres its enemies, rivals and prey is revealed in dramatic detail.
